10. election

If anyone asks me where I go to school, I have this standard response , I go to this school called Fairhaven   it's democratically run. For example,   we get to elect whether or not the staff gets to stay.

Do you want to vote for next year's staff?

Yeah.

You have to say 'yes' 'no' or 'no opinion' to everybody.

Two o'clock. Ballots are closed.

We're going to count all these and divide into teams. You and I are going to be a team and Thor and Allison are going to be a team.

We're going to count them and they're going to count them and then we're going to switch.

Somebody folded their's into quarters.

People who want to come here and people who have questions about this school think that it's run by kids. They totally can't see that.

But if they come here and see that we're giving these people jobs. We're voting them in. It's a big deal.

It's a big responsibility and maybe that will give some perspective   on what kind of power we have here.
